Mendocino County is located on the Pacific Ocean in the north coast region of California. The County covers 3,510 square miles, covers 129 miles of coastline, and reaches as high as 6,954 feet (Anthony Peak). The Southern tip of the County is approximately 100 miles north of San Francisco along the scenic Highway 101. Irish Beach is approximately 140 miles north of San Francisco.

 DRIVING DIRECTIONS

 

From the San Francisco Bay Area
Take the scenic Hwy 101 for 95 miles North to Cloverdale. Hwy 128 West for 45 miles through Anderson Valley to Hendy Woods State Park turnoff at County Road # 32. Take Hwy 1 South for 8 miles to Irish Beach.

From the Sacramento Area
Take Interstate 80 West to Hwy 37. Take Hwy 37 West to Hwy 101. Take Hwy 101 North (past Santa Rosa) to Cloverdale. Next: take Hwy 128 West for 45 miles through Anderson Valley to Hendy Woods State Park turnoff at County Road # 32. Take Hwy 1 South for 9 miles to Irish Beach.
